Counterstrike — драм-энд-бэйс-коллектив из ЮАР. Группа сыграла значительную роль в развитии драм-энд-бэйса в Африке и за её пределами. Играют в жанрах текстеп и даркстеп.

Участники проекта: Джастин Шольтмейер (Justin Scholtemeyer aka Animal Chin) и Итон Краус (Eaton Crous aka 500 Mills). В середине девяностых много играли на родине и за границей. Позже посещали Англию, Германию, Норвегию, Польшу, Бельгию, Нидерланды, Австрию, Словакию, Швейцарию.

Counterstrike как коллектив образовался в 1998 году.

Команда отличается тяжёлым «тёмным» звучанием с характерными «грузящими» басовыми линиями. В то же время большинство треков имеют высокое значение BPM, благодаря этому музыка Counterstrike очень динамична и энергична. Некоторые треки, наоборот, имеют очень «ломаный» бит, но в любом случае группа имеет свой стиль и легко узнаваема. В некоторых композициях Counterstrike используют вокальные семплы и тяжелые гитарные риффы.
